About Us

Who We Are

We are a grassroots non‑profit community organisation, registered in the UK and overseas, supporting individuals and families at high risk of mental health difficulties due to social, economic, personal, and health‑related circumstances, including individuals whose physical health issues place additional pressure on their mental wellbeing.

Many of the people we serve face refugees and asylum experiences, poverty, racial trauma, heath inequalities, language barriers, unemployment and financial instability, poor housing and many other challenges. Our grassroots work is compassionate, personalised  and support by lived and professional experience.

We support people navigating:

Our mission

Our faith is a central part of who we are, and we see this work as a divine mission.
Our doors are open to everyone, and we warmly welcome all those in need to access our services, benefit from our support, and stand with us in our mission.

We believe every person deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and honour — regardless of background, faith, or circumstance.

Our Story

Our journey began in 2019 at Byker Community Centre, in Newcastle Upon Tyne. During COVID‑19, just before our launch the centre closed but we decided to continue and stepped closer to the community — delivering essentials door to door, offering emotional support, and helping people navigate crisis.

As a grassroots organisation we continue supporting aslyum seekers and refugees,  and local residents through outreach, online services, and regular in‑person meetings across Newcastle.

What Makes Us Different

We fill a critical gap for individuals who are often overlooked or unable to access mainstream services. Our support is flexible, human, and shaped around real life.

Lived Experience at the Heart of Our Work.

We understand the challenges people face because we’ve lived them too.
This allows us to build trust quickly and offer support that feels safe, familiar, and culturally sensitive.

Our lived‑experience approach helps people feel:

– Seen
– Heard
– Understood
– Respected
